CONSUMER PROTECTION

Email is the primary method criminals use to obtain information from internet banking customers.  When using online banking, never use hyperlinks from an email that direct you to a financial website and never send any specific account information via email without knowing if the message is sent through a secured source.  We have purchased a security certificate from Verisign, for our communication with you through our internet banking website.

Always remember, internet banking is completely different from your ATM/Checkcard and PIN.  If you ever receive an email or pop-up window requesting this type of information, NEVER provide it.  Close the window or delete the message and contact the bank immediately.

As always, install a reputable anti-virus program and keep it up to date, to prevent other types of viruses that can exploit any personal information on your computer.

If you have any questions please contact us at (270) 653-4001.
